Although the dial plate was original when MY refinishes one, that alone doesn’t really retain any value. If the dial is rare then I understand doing this. But if it is a modern Rolex, a service dial and new hands is the best option IMHO. Not talking about refinished dials as refinished dials and relumed dials are easy to spot. I have an appointment with RSC next week to drop off my 16760 for service. I recently had the hands lume stabilized and hope it won’t be flagged for replacement, as that’ll be the end of that story. It's taking the watch too far away from its originality, kind of like refinishing a dial. I'd rather have an original dial or case with issues than a pristine redone dial or case.
