Tudor Service Dials Rolex General Discussion. I took my Tudor 79220b to the Rolex Service Center in NYC and it came back with a scratched/scuffed dial between the 5 and 6 hour markers (before and after pictures below). Location: London. AP are good but I have noticed some bad QC, a dial time polished by them in a dealer had the two vertical lines on the side of the case not lining up with the bezel, was pretty bad, usually they’re pretty good. Rolex will do the best refinish job out of anyone. They polish the lugs and chamfers really well. When polishing a watch, it is removing thin layers of metal, you are basically bringing down the serface of the watch case down to the same depth as the scratches until the serface is flush with the scratches.
