Top notes are Grapefruit, Lemon, Mint, Pink Pepper, Bergamot, Aldehydes and Coriander; middle notes are Ginger, Nutmeg, Jasmine and Melon; base notes are Incense, Amber . BDC lacks any sort of vision, statement, poise, prowess, ANYTHING that would make me want to pick it up and say "Oh yes, THIS is the perfect moment to wear Bleu De Chanel EDP." It's a boring fragrance for people who can't be bothered by attempting to be unique. Bleu de Chanel EDP is an excellent fragrance for guys with a slightly more mature taste and who want something a little more intense or luxurious. Compared to other similar scents on the market, it has a much more unique composition. Bleu de Chanel EdP will always be one of the best men’s fragrances ever made in my books, and considering it came 3rd place in the “Best Men’s Perfume of All Time” catagory of the Fragrantica awards this year, it seems like a lot of people agree.
Based on the price and quality, the EDP might be the best bet. But if you are going to the decant route, EDP's and Parfum's price difference isn't big. So, my recommendation is just buy decants of all three and see how it goes. Both the EDT and EDP versions of Bleu de Chanel (created by Jacques Polge) are defined by their refined take on citrus and cedar notes, among others. While they have different emphases, they are not radically different fragrances.

In my opinion Bleu De Chanel EDP is perfection as it hits just the right balance between freshness and depth. The Parfum is also excellent, but very similar- just heavier on the Sandalwood and stays closer to the skin.
